How would you make Long Beach a better place? The Knight Cities Challenge wants to know, and may just give you the funds to make that idea a reality.
The City of Long Beach announced today its launch of an event slated for Monday aimed at garnering resident participation in transforming Harvey Milk Park into an outdoor, public collaborative space geared toward sparking creativity and interaction.
Selected from a pool of more than 4,500 applicants, the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation announced their 144 finalists in the third annual Knight Cities Challenge, five of which seek to benefit Long Beach.
