Restaurants can now register for Dine LBC - Long Beach Restaurant Week, organizers announced Monday. The annual citywide dine-in event is set to take place Saturday, April 23 through Sunday, May 1. Registration is $495 for individual establishments with discounts available for multi-unit concepts, according to the release.
“Dine LBC - Long Beach Restaurant Week is more than a nine-day event,” said Terri Henry, co-founder of Dine LBC, in a statement. “Since launching Dine LBC last Spring, we’ve been committed to supporting participating restaurants throughout the year with regular events and promotional email communication to the thousands of local diners in our database. The additional value Dine LBC offers for the one-time $495 registration fee will continue throughout 2016.”
According to Henry, the $495 covers an estimated $750K value in exposure and impressions, while a recent survey found that 90 percent of Restaurant Week diners are likely to recommend a restaurant and 87 percent will likely return to one they experienced during Restaurant Week, according to the Dine LBC registration form. In an effort to encourage restaurants to register early (no later than January 31), Dine LBC will enter early commitments into a drawing for one of two sets of two JetBlue Airlines Travel Vouchers, valid for anywhere JetBlue flies domestically.
More than 75 cafes, wine bars, gastropubs, upscale casual and fine dining eateries located throughout all of Long Beach are expected to participate in 2016’s Dine LBC. From Belmont Shore to Bixby Knolls, Retro Row to Cambodia Town, Downtown to the waterfront, and not excluding a few locations in Signal Hill, the non-ticketed event seeks to show off the countless unique dining experiences offered to the culinarily curious.
Participating restaurants will offer a three-course, value-considerate menu at $20, $30, $40 or $50 price point. The deadline to register is March 31. This year’s sponsors include JetBlue Airlines, the Press-Telegram, Long Beach Yellow Cab, OpenTable and Long Beach CVB with more expected to sign on in the coming weeks.
