Flying It Forward: JetBlue Giving Away One Free Flight to a Good Samaritan from Long Beach

Long Beach residents in need of a flight for the holidays can tell JetBlue how they're going to pay it forward by using their travel for good. Hashtag a tweet #FlyingItForward and in 123 characters or less, explain what you would do with a free chance to fly.

Screen Shot 2014-11-17 at 10.31.15 AMJill Pall, an ovarian cancer survivor, was awarded the Flying It Forward JetBlue ticket, which was passed along from the previous flyer, Astrel Clovis, who used his ticket to run the New York City Marathon earlier this month. Pall will be traveling from New York to Long Beach to speak about her experience with various groups including students, teachers, athletes, oncologists, local businesses and women’s organizations. She has been in Long Beach since November 14 and will be concluding her visit on November 19.

Pall will choose the next flyer and send off another do-gooder on his or her way to improving the lives of others across the country. The idea is that a single JetBlue ticket will travel on consecutive journeys throughout the airline’s network in an effort to connect people who have inspirational stories to share. The program enables people to fulfill a dream, to carry out a humanitarian effort or simply put, to make a meaningful impact somewhere in the world.

During their trips, fliers will document their experiences, which will be brought to life on Flying It Forward. The public can participate by submitting their own story or others' via Twitter, using #FlyingItForward. If you don't live in Long Beach, JetBlue will hold on to your Tweet until the ticket reaches your city.
