From the city-lovin’ organization that brought you the wildly successful Citywide Ice Cream Social in June last year, which hosted over 500 people in 31 different locations and the hauntingly unhindered Citywide Pumpkin Carving and Chili Party in October, which drew an estimated 700 people together in over 25 locations, We Love Long Beach presents its biggest event yet, the first-ever Citywide Neighbor Breakfast on Saturday, February 21. So for the love of pancakes, muffins, coffee and OJ, let’s get together to grub!
In an effort to better enable and encourage Long Beach residents to strengthen their communities, We Love Long Beach, a local nonprofit organization, is hosting this third event to help neighbors build positive, long lasting relationships for the ultimate goal of creating a safer and healthier neighborhood environment.
In an October 2014 interview with Post reporter, Brittany Woolsey, Ryan ZumMallen, We Love Long Beach spokesman, stated, "We believe that strong relationships with your neighbors are the key to living in a safe and healthy community."
"When people know, understand and love their neighbors,” he continued, “it creates a closer bond to their environment and their city. Good neighbors look out for each other, lend a hand when one is needed, and help to build lasting pride that can be passed down for generations. We Love Long Beach aims to help foster that pride and spread it throughout the city."
According to We Love Long Beach, the Citywide Neighbor Breakfast is expected to generate the the largest turnout yet in over 30 homes throughout the city.
From 9:00AM to 11:00AM, attendees are encouraged to share their experience on social media platforms during the event using the hashtag #BreakfastLB. To host or co-host a breakfast, contact Scott Jones for more information at
and to stay in the loop for the upcoming event locations, to be announced Monday, February 16, keep up with We Love Long Beach's Facebook page here.
