The sixth annual Long Beach Comic Con, taking place this Saturday and Sunday, has announced its complete programming lineup, officially released by Comic Book Resources.
According to CBR, high-profile events will include a commemoration of Batman’s 75th Anniversary, celebrated with a 1:00PM panel discussion, “Batman 75/Tales of the Dark Night,” featuring "Batwoman" writer Marc Andreyko, "Detective Comics" co-writer Brian Buccellato, "Batman Incorporated" artist Chris Burnham, "Batman Eternal" co-writer Kyle Higgins, new "Batgirl" artist Babs Tarr, DC Comics legend Marv Wolfman and "Batman '66 Meets the Green Hornet" co-writer Ralph Garman. Aside from the celebration of the beloved Batman, the two-day LBCC will be packed with events, from the most fun to the most socio-politically charged, from learning how to publish your own work to discussions on race, gender and sexual orientation in comics.

Led by Fanboy Comics Managing Editor Barbra Dillon, this panel of indie creators, including Justin robinson, Jody Houser, Joshua Hauke, Madeleine Holly-Rosing and Sam Rhodes, will guide you through the self-publishing process and answer all your questons.

She Makes Comics: A Documentary Celebration of Women in Comics at 5:00PM in Room 103 A/B
According to the LBCC, women have been writing and drawing comics since the early 1900s and made up half of comic book readers in the 1950s. Join the filmmakers of She Makes Comics, a film that tells the history of women in comics, when they premiere the first footage of the film and talk about the state of women in comics today.
