The body of a deceased female adult was found this morning in an area of the Civic Center complex just outside of City Hall. Witnesses say that the deceased appeared to be a homeless person and it did not appear that there was any trauma to the body.

Police say that the coronor has yet to identify the body, which was found at around 7AM this morning by a passerby.

"It has been deemed an 'undetermined death' meaning the coroner will have to determine the official cause of death," said Nancy Pratt of the Long Beach Police Department. "However, there were no obvious signs of trauma to the body and there doesn't appear to be any foul play involved."

"I'm sad to share this with you, but I think it should been seen as a reminder that we as a larger community have a great responsibility to also serve the least amongst us."
