Long Beach police made multiple arrests over the weekend during a DUI checkpoint in the city’s Eastside neighborhood, authorities announced today.
Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) personnel held the operation on Saturday, August 13, from 7:00PM to 3:00AM at Anaheim Street and Freeman Avenue, according to a release issued today.
The operation yielded four driving under the influence arrests and one warrant arrest.
Out of the 221 vehicles screened, five field sobriety tests were performed, one driver was cited or arrested for operating a vehicle unlicensed or while suspended, and four citations were issued for unsafe driving. One misdemeanor citation was also issued.
