A residential fire in North Long Beach left one person injured and a total of five people displaced from their home Tuesday morning, according to the Long Beach Fire Department (LBFD).
Fire units were called to the 400 block of Sunset Street at 7:20AM regarding a fire at a one-story duplex that was contained to one bedroom, LBFD spokesman Mark Miller said.
“When the fire units got there, there was heavy flames coming out of the window of one bedroom,” he said.
The fire was extinguished by 7:30AM, with the majority of the damage confined to that bedroom.
One person suffered minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital. Authorities did not say if the victim was male or female. A total of five people were displaced, and the American Red Cross provided the Long Beach residents with assistance.
