St. George was charged with one count of murder, including a special allegation that he personally used a deadly and dangerous weapon—a knife—while committing the crime. If convicted, St. George faces 28 years to life in prison.

Officials said the victim, Gary Rice, was found dead in a motorhome with stab wounds in his upper body on December 6, 2015. Police had responded to a parking lot on the 1700 block of Ximeno Avenue at about 10:40AM where they found the man who they believe had only resided in the city a short time, a release stated.

St. George was identified as the suspect by Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) detectives investigating the incident. They arrested him in Cypress on February 10.

The charging document alleged St. George was convicted of grand theft in 2006, in addition to receiving stolen property in 2013, according to the DA office.

St. George is scheduled to attend a pre-hearing conference on April 14 at the Long Beach branch of the Los Angeles County Superior Court.

The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information regarding the murder is urged to call Homicide Detectives Todd Johnson, Mark Bigel Guarino, and Shea Robertson at 562.570.7244.
