27-Year-Old Motorist Cited for Hit-and-Run After Car Collides with Long Beach House

A Long Beach motorist was cited for a hit-and-run violation after his vehicle collided with a house early Saturday morning near Cal State Long Beach (CSULB), authorities said.

Officers were called to the 5500 block of Lonna Linda Drive in the city’s Park Estates neighborhood at 6:35AM on Saturday, April 2, according to Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) spokeswoman Marlene Arrona.

Julio Santana, 27, was cited for fleeing the scene of a traffic collision and released, she said. He was located at a nearby location.

"The family said they heard a crash around 1:30AM and found a car leaning vertically and upside down on the side of their home," according to ABC7.

None of the occupants of the house were injured.

The investigation remains ongoing.
