A man was sent to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries Thursday morning after being shot in North Long Beach, authorities said.
Police were called to the 300 block of Marker Lane at 9:16AM on Thursday, April 7 regarding “an individual on the ground (possibly as a result of a shooting),” Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) spokeswoman Marlene Arrona said.
A man with a gunshot injury to his torso was eventually located by arriving officers.
Long Beach Fire Department (LBFD) paramedics transported the victim to a local hospital with what appeared to be a non-life-threatening injury.
A preliminary investigation indicated the shooting happened near Butler Avenue and Artesia Boulevard, Arrona said.
Officials did not state whether the shooting was gang-related.
The investigation remains ongoing.
