A shooting in Long Beach’s MacArthur Park neighborhood early Saturday morning left one man with critical injuries and another with a non-life threatening wound, authorities said.
“Officers were at a local hospital when two male adults with apparent gunshot injuries were dropped off” at about 6:11AM on Saturday, August 13, said Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) spokeswoman Marlene Arrona.
One victim was shot in the torso and was in critical condition, she said. The other victim was shot in the upper torso and appeared to have a non-life threatening injury.
A crime scene was located by assisting officers on the 1300 block of Walnut Avenue.
The investigation remains ongoing.
