Multiple Vehicles Damaged Following Midnight Shooting in Long Beach

Multiple vehicles were struck during a shooting in Long Beach’s South Wrigley neighborhood overnight, authorities said.

Police responded to reports of a shooting at about 12:20AM on Thursday, September 1, on the 700 block of East Pacific Coast Highway, according to Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) spokesman Sgt. Brad Johnson.

“Upon arrival, they found evidence that a shooting occurred with multiple rounds fired,” he said.

No one was injured but vehicles were struck by the gunfire.

Authorities are investigating the incident as possibly gang-related.
