Journal<\/strong>&nbsp;have always existed to serve the public. In late 2023, after decades of for-profit ownership, both publications formally reorganized to align with that mission \u2014 becoming charitable entities under the&nbsp;<strong>Long Beach Journalism Initiative<\/strong>, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN: 93-4121848).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our purpose is educational. We provide residents with trustworthy, independent reporting that sparks debate, deepens understanding, and strengthens civic participation.
