Perhaps you prefer to watch with some of the city’s most prominent Democrats and Clinton supporters elsewhere.
Bars and restaurants throughout the city are hosting viewing parties to help ease your Election Night anxiety and make the democratic process fun again.
Beyond the Place Make the Vote shindigs, geared toward increasing voter turnout in an enjoyable way, the Post has scoped out various public locations to view election results—so once you’ve gotten your vote on, head to one of these for election results and a touch of ambience.
For Trump Supporters:
49Rs Tavern at Pacific Coast Highway and Bellflower is throwing a party for Trump supporters, which many Long Beach Republicans plan on attending. Head over to the bar between 4:00PM and 8:00PM for a close-up view of the results, as well as food and beverages.
Alternately, Hispanics for Trump 2016 is hosting an event from 5:00PM to 8:00PM at the Hyatt Regency Downtown Long Beach (200 South Pine Avenue). Guests are asked to wear the color red as well as Trump gear to celebrate. For more information, visit the Facebook event page here.
For Clinton Supporters:
The Yes We Can Democratic Club is hosting an election results viewing party at Hamburger Mary’s (330 Pine Avenue) beginning at 8:01PM tonight. Libations on hand include the “Nasty Woman” cocktail (“a James Bond-style vodka martini”), and the “dirty” version, titled the “Bad Hombre.”
Measure MM Supporters:
The Stave Bar (170 The Promenade North) is hosting a party in support of the ganja-legalization measure. Head over around 8:30 to partake of the viewing party fun.
For those who just want to watch the results, drink and eat good food:
Great Society (601 East Broadway) has you covered with an election night special. cider master will be on hand from 7:00PM to 9:00PM, and they’re offering $9 Honest Abe flights and $4.50 Honest Abe full pours. For more information, click here.
