Police surrounded the Golden Sails Hotel and eventually arrested a man after getting reports that he had a gun and wanted to shoot people, according to the LBPD.
Police identified the two suspects as a 17-year-old from Paramount and a 15-year-old Long Beach resident.
Long Beach resident Javier Rodriguez, 47, was taken into custody around 6:50 a.m. in the 2300 block of East 15th Street, police said.
The arrests were made by a task force that included the LAPD and LBPD as state and local officials continue to crack down on street takeovers and illegal racing.
The firefighter is expected to make a full recovery after helping to douse flames that were burning through the roof of a home on Monday afternoon.
