The Renaissance Long Beach Hotel in Downtown is nearing the completion of an $8 million renovation project which will provide a facelift to the Ocean Boulevard-facing hotel.
In addition to the property’s 374 guest rooms, 14 suites and Presidential Suite being updated, the hotel’s lounge, lobby and fitness center are being expanded as part of the construction. The renovation will be complete after work on the hotel’s pool area is outfitted with new furniture and landscaping which is expectected to be finished before summer.
“We’re excited to unveil our newly designed guest rooms, club lounge and fitness center to travelers from all over the world,” said general manager Pam Ryan in a press release. “Along with refreshed design, our upcoming lobby renovation will reflect the inspiration of Renaissance Hotels by offering unique discoveries including emerging music, culinary, film and more.”
The nearly three-month-long renovation was headed by Los Angeles based design studio, Creative Resource Associates. The company utilized blues, whites, browns and grays into the guest room designs in an effort to integrate the colors of the sea into the hotel that sits across the street from the Convention Center, just blocks from the waterfront.
“Long Beach is a dynamic city with a fun and kinetic energy,” Principal of CRA, Hydee Hirschim said. “The room design at the Renaissance Long Beach was created to represent the soothing, tranquil sea within the vibrancy of the city.”
