Another Paul E. Tay–this one an entirely original Tay design–home has hit the Long Beach market in Park Estates along El Parque Street, this one a more prominent example of Tay’s impeccable work.

The updated 3,749 sq. ft., 1957 home once again echoes the midcentury modern-meets-rancho style that enveloped Tay’s work. The home features a glass ceiling-to-floor facade which faces the pool. This feature integrates an almost seamless indoor-to-outdoor feel, with the living room, dining room, serpentine bar, kitchen and private media room all featuring views of the patio and backyard space.

In addition, the home feature three bedrooms, three baths, and two fireplaces.

As previously mentioned, the work of Tay is mostly unknown in comparison to Cliff May or Edward Killingsworth but remains prolific in Long Beach. Over 30 residential projects were created by Tay throughout his 25 years in Long Beach, including the Braly Residence on the Peninsula and the Sipprelle Residence in Signal Hill.

The home is located at 5630 E El Parque Street and is currently listed at $1.799 million. The listing can be viewed here.
