Call your Uber, we’re going out. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last week, I shared this anti-social, self-care itinerary<\/a>, and now that your batteries are recharged, it’s time for yet another happy hour tour<\/strong> (see part one<\/a> and two<\/a>). And I am grinning to myself like the Cheshire Cat<\/a> at my desk right now because I’ve finally found the happy hour to rule all happy hours. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’m talking Vegas prices. I’m talking time machine prices. I’m talking dangerously low prices (no seriously, call that Uber just in case). But if drinks for $2.50<\/strong> at a super cool dive that Charles Bukowski<\/strong> used to lift glass at isn’t your steez, don’t fret, we’ve also got some places with a little more opulence<\/em> (and $10 frog legs). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To your health! Let’s get started. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

(The World Famous)<\/strong> Reno Room <\/strong>– 3400 E. Broadway<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

When: <\/strong>Monday through Friday 3 to 4 p.m. (see more below). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What<\/strong>: This place has more deals<\/a> than Carter<\/strong> had pills. And speaking of old-timey references, rumor has it that famed poet and novelist Bukowski<\/strong> used to frequent our beloved Reno Room<\/strong>, which opened in 1950. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This place is also home to Cocore\u00f1os<\/strong>, the kitchen that cranks out some of the best Taco Tuesday<\/strong> deals in town: $1.95 street tacos, $4.50 margaritas and more. The bar also hosts a Whiskey Wednesday<\/strong>. Six dollar Bulleit anyone? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But onto those time machine deals I made such a big fuss about above\u2014the world famous Reno Room just resurrected its Super Happy Hour<\/strong>: $2.50 well drinks, $2.50 domestic beers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To quote Bukowski: “I think I need a drink. Almost everybody does only they don’t know it.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alex’s Bar<\/strong> – 2913 E. Anaheim St. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

When<\/strong>: Tuesday through Friday 3 to 8 p.m. and 12:30 to 1:30 a.m. every day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What<\/strong>: It goes without saying that Alex’s Bar <\/strong>(or should I say Fangtasia<\/a>?) is a Long Beach institution. It’s where the likes of Jesus and Mary Chain<\/strong> and Brenton Wood<\/strong> have graced the stage, and now it’s where you can enjoy $5 boilermakers (that’s a Hamms<\/strong> beer and a shot of Evan Williams<\/strong>). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This vampiric bar offers $2 Hamms, $1 off wells and that $5 boilermaker during its happy hours Tuesday through Friday. Bonus<\/strong>: they also have a Power Hour <\/strong>(12:30 to 1:30 a.m.) with $4 wells, $2 Hamms, $5 boilermakers and a dollar off all other drinks. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bar Envie<\/strong> – 4000 E. Anaheim St.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

When<\/strong>: Regular happy hour is Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 4 to 6 p.m. Late night happy hour is Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday 9 p.m. to close as well as Fridays and Saturdays 10 p.m. to close. Fat Tuesday is every week from 4 p.m. to close.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What<\/strong>: This Zaferia district newcomer is NOLA-themed. And in true Crescant City fashion, they’ve got spicy frog legs. The owners once told me that they are one of the most popular items on the menu. During happy hour, you can try them yourself for $10. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Like Alex’s, this spot also offers a late night happy hour, so, they get bonus OTC points for that. Find $8 old fashioneds, $10 boilermakers (tall boy with a house shot), $5 wells, $6 house wine as well as $2 off specialty cocktails and draft beers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is your opportunity to get their famous Rhubarb Fizz for $12: gin, rhubarb syrup and egg white. (Just how do we convince this place<\/em> to adopt a Super Happy Hour<\/strong>?)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Michael’s Market <\/strong>– 5616 Second St.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

When<\/strong>: Every Friday in October from 4 to 6 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What<\/strong>: This quaint little grocer and market on Naples Island<\/strong> is offering some pretty cozy autumn deals starting next month. Beer and wine by the glass will be $5 and can be paired with a $10 charcuterie board (your choice of 3 meats and 2 cheeses). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Stave Bar<\/strong> – 170 The Promenade N. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

When<\/strong>: Monday through Friday 3 to 7 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What<\/strong>: Did someone say $9 martini? Make it dirty and I’ll leave work early. In all seriousness, this is actually one of the few bars you won’t have to ditch work early to make happy hour. Bonus points to The Stave for extending happy hour past 5 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This sharply outfitted whiskey bar, located along the Promenade<\/strong> in Downtown<\/strong>, has some great deals: $8 signature cocktails (old fashioned, moscow mule, whiskey sour, sidecar and more), $9 Manhattans, $9 martinis, $9 margaritas (caddillac or smokey), wines by the glass $6 and $4 tulips of beer ($6 mugs). <\/p>\n\n\n\n
