I swung by recently with a group of friends for lunch. The ambience was great and the menu had enough variety that my party of five was able to each find something to enjoy.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You could say I was a little boring with my choice and went for some over-easy eggs and crispy bacon ($18), but when simplicity is done right, there\u2019s really no room to complain. I\u2019m planning to catch that as a special soon.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-new-eats-around-town\"><strong>New eats around town<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/lbpost.com\/hi-lo\/district-4-pizza-is-now-serving-up-gourmet-pies-in-los-altos\/\">District 4 Pizza<\/a> opened recently, with <strong>14 signature pies<\/strong> and the option to customize. If you\u2019re not feeling pizza the menu also offers Italian classics like chicken parmesan and various pasta options.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The much-anticipated, Mediterranean-inspired restaurant, <a href=\"https:\/\/lbpost.com\/hi-lo\/food\/marlena-naples-long-beach-open-date\">Marlena<\/a>, in Naples is finally open. <strong>Owner Robert Smith<\/strong> described the menu as \u201ca road trip from Sicily to Andalusia\u201d aka it\u2019s got things like a fried ricotta gnocchi with fennel sausage, nduja (spicy Southern Italian sausage), roasted tomato, broccolini and caciocavallo (Italian cheese) on the menu. But the restaurant\u2019s philosophy follows California cuisine, a movement that started in Northern California that usually describes menus that use fresh, sustainable and local ingredients.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Have you been to any of these new restaurants or have some recommendations for me?
