These are tough times for restaurants, as we highlighted this week: a wine bar\/restaurant<\/a> returning from a pandemic-related closure and a family-owned neighborhood stable<\/a> fighting to remain open after 29 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We’re all feeling the effects of rising food costs, but please remember to eat local when you can.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here’s a bright spot: After years of declining foot traffic, The Promenade in downtown Long Beach was a vibrant scene<\/a> last Saturday for the city’s first event allowing public alcohol consumption.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
