Plus, Frolic for Fido with the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence"},"content":{"rendered":"<br \/>\n<h2 style=\"margin-bottom: 6pt;\">Virtually Pets<\/h2>\n<p>On Friday, August 11, Kitty Hall will have its third annual hearing at Long Beach City Hall and also have its video debut. <a href=\"https:\/\/shelterme.tv\/\"><i>Shelter Me<\/i><\/a>, the PBS series that spotlights shelter animals and the open-admission shelters (some call them \u201ckill shelters\u201d; I don\u2019t, because the onus shouldn\u2019t be on shelter staff) that try the impossible to adopt every pet who\u2019s brought in.<\/p>\n<p>There will be over 40 candidates for adoption at Kitty Hall, which is approximately one-third of the 135 candidates for the California gubernatorial election in 2003. That was a lot of candidates; unlike that race, all of these cats should be winners. C\u2019mon down and meet these sweeties and all the others waiting to go home.<\/p>\n<p><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-55431\" src=\"https:\/\/lbpost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/Miss_Demeanor.jpg\" alt=\"Miss Demeanor\" width=\"620\" height=\"465\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Miss Demeanor\u2019<\/strong>s (ID<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/hashtag\/a591200?source=feed_text\">#A591200<\/a>) name has two interpretations\u2014just like every cat! This tortie girl is so sweet and affectionate and would love to finally have a forever home! She\u2019s about 2 years old.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-55432\" src=\"https:\/\/lbpost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/Tootles.jpg\" alt=\"Tootles\" width=\"534\" height=\"401\" \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-55433\" src=\"https:\/\/lbpost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/Tickles.jpg\" alt=\"Tickles\" width=\"620\" height=\"465\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Tootles (<\/strong>ID#A591760) and <strong>Tickles (<\/strong>ID#A591758) were found as strays. They\u2019re male siblings and are just as much fun as they\u2019re names suggest!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-55434\" src=\"https:\/\/lbpost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/Glorie.jpg\" alt=\"Glorie\" width=\"620\" height=\"465\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Who would dump a 14-year-old cat at the shelter after having her since she was a kitten? <strong>Glorie<\/strong>\u2019s (ID#A593605) family moved and for some unknown reason didn\u2019t take her along. So now, after having lived with people all her life, she\u2019s now in a kennel.
