From <a href=\"https:\/\/lbpost.com\/life\/food\/rance-s-chicago-pizza\/\">Rance\u2019s\u00a0recent opening<\/a> to the plethora of long time pie makers like ZPizza and Domenico\u2019s, pizza can and will be found whether you\u2019re searching for it or not.<\/p>\n<p>Touted as Southern California\u2019s fastest growing build-your-own pizzeria, the latest pizza parlor to join the shore\u2019s pizza battalion will be The Pizza Press, replacing Ramen Yeah! It\u2019s a widespread franchise known for what\u2019s expected from an established eatery: high quality ingredients and a wide selection of local craft beer, but what sets it apart is its play on a 1920s newsroom.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-55427\" src=\"https:\/\/lbpost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/DSC_0097.JPG\" alt=\"DSC 0097\" width=\"620\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Starting at the \u201cpress\u201d station, you choose your pizza from menu items such as \u201cThe Chronicle\u201d with mozzarella, artichoke hearts, grape tomato, crimini mushroom, red onion and bell pepper or \u201cThe Times\u201d with mozzarella, chicken, grape tomato, smoked gouda, finished with fresh cilantro and Sweet Baby Rae\u2019s BBQ Sauce. Next up is \u201cpublishing\u201d and \u201ceditorial\u201d where the toppings are placed, followed by \u201cproofing\u201d where the finishing touches are selected after your pizza is slid through the oven, emerging in just four minutes \u201chot off the press.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Customers can also \u201cpublish\u201d their own pizza by picking and choosing from the eatery\u2019s extensive selection of toppings.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-53103\" src=\"https:\/\/lbpost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/DSC_0079.JPG\" alt=\"DSC 0079\" width=\"620\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And it\u2019s not just a gimmick, the pizza is delicious, with its thin crusted crispiness and symphony of sweet and salty flavors. The <em>Post<\/em> tried \u201cThe Sun\u201d with honey smoked ham, bourbon bacon, aged sharp cheddar, pineapple, grape tomato and scallion, finished with a little vinaigrette and basil sprinkled on top. Diners can also grab an on-the-go salad, or dig into the fresh baked cookies, custom ice cream sandwiches and floats, tiramisu and other seasonal desserts.<\/p>\n<p>The new Belmont Shore location will have 14 taps with a rotating selection of local craft beer, as well as serving two varietals of wine, Stumptown Cold Brew Coffee and Virgil\u2019s sodas.<\/p>\n<p>The Pizza Press will celebrate its grand opening next week on Thursday, August 17. In celebration, 1,000 free pizzas will be given away with the purchase of a beverage.
