I\u2019m not sure where most of them came from, but they all seem to be coddled and spoiled. Good.<\/p>\n<p style=\"vertical-align: baseline;\">Among them is Ladybug, <a href=\"https:\/\/lbpost.com\/life\/pets\/aaaand-away-they-g-hey-the-other-way-wienerschnitzel-wiener-nationals-inch-up-to-the-starting-gate\/\">who introduced the Wienerschnitzel Wiener Nationals story<\/a>. She did come from a shelter\u2014yet another example of purebreds dumped in shelters. Want one of your own? Here\u2019s a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.petfinder.com\/pet-search?query_id=47F9E2B0-6CDA-11E7-AD7E-C869D983A02E&amp;page_number=2\">whole page full<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"vertical-align: baseline;\">Using \u201cdachshund\u201d as a keyword on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.petfinder.com\/\">Petfinder<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/petharbor.com\/\">PetHarbor<\/a>\u00a0and other websites that aggregate shelter and rescue pets will also give you \u201cdachshund and \u2026\u201d mixed breeds. They need homes, too. In honor of Ladybug and of any dog that may have been thought of as being \u201cmisbegotten,\u201d here are a couple of doxie mixes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"vertical-align: baseline;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-27149\" src=\"https:\/\/lbpost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/Toby.jpg\" alt=\"Toby\" width=\"620\" height=\"348\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"vertical-align: baseline;\">Little <strong>Toby<\/strong> urgently needs a quiet foster or a home. He was found in a box in front of a Walmart, completely terrified, hungry and thirsty. He\u2019s scared of men and has to gradually learn that the world is not all bad. Toby needs a very calm, adult household, preferably a female household with access to a secure yard, as he is too scared yet to go on walks. He absolutely loves other dogs, and they help him to overcome his fear of humans, so the rescue is looking to place him into a home with another dog. Toby will need some love and patience to become a happy guy and enjoy life again. This oft-hilarious event features one qualifying race, 10 trials, one specialty \u201cbig\u201d versus little match and, of course, the grand championship at the end. Each trial winner will receive $100, and the champ will get a bunch of prizes, including a $1,000 award\u2014that\u2019s a lot of grain-free kibble! Come early, because this event is very popular, and general admission fills up quickly! No ice chests, and no dogs allowed at event except for the racing guys. Stanford says that her goal is \u201cto provide Long Beach with a dog-training facility with structured daycare and boarding that accepts all dogs regardless of temperament or behavior by educating staff, dogs and owners. Our mission is to create a community of people who understand their dogs and want to have a loving, balanced relationship.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Stanford\u2019s group is looking to purchase about 10,000 square feet of warehouse space with a potty area and are partnering with a design group.
