We had long ago\u00a0rejoiced about the pseudo-parklet over at At Last Cafe<\/a>\u00a0in Alamitos Beach. And before that,\u00a0the parklets along Retro Row<\/a>. And after all that, the parklets invading DTLB<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Well, DTLB is going to score another one. Quite a big one to be exact.<\/p>\n

The trio of fast casual joints along 4th just east of Pine\u2014Fresh Kabobs, Mitaki, and Milana’s New York Pizzeria\u2014will be sharing a single parklet that stretches along the entire southend of their businesses.<\/p>\n

Made of shipping containers (the new favorite building material of everyone from Steelcraft in Bixby Knolls<\/a> to portable tiki bars in Long Beach<\/a>), the parklet will not only add more outside dining options but further welcome to the reinvention of City Place into The Streets DTLB<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, we’re getting more Thai food. Joining\u2014deep breath\u2014Star of Siam, Thai Silk, Blue Heaven, Thai District, Naree Thai, and Bai’plu within a 1.5-mile radius will be 1035 Thai Place in Alamitos Beach on 4th just east of Alamitos.<\/p>\n

Formerly redesigned to harbor the brick-and-mortar of catering company 4 Tastebuds<\/a>, 1035 E 4th St. will now be home to some future Thai.<\/p>\n
