{"id":13413,"date":"2020-03-02T16:30:25","date_gmt":"2020-03-03T00:30:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lbpost.com\/hi-lo\/?p=30000007888"},"modified":"2020-03-02T16:30:25","modified_gmt":"2020-03-03T00:30:25","slug":"maldita-vecindad-to-perform-at-acura-grand-prix-of-long-beachs-fiesta-friday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lbpost.com\/esd\/hi-lo\/maldita-vecindad-to-perform-at-acura-grand-prix-of-long-beachs-fiesta-friday","title":{"rendered":"Maldita Vecindad to perform at Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach&#8217;s Fiesta Friday"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The popular Mexican rock band Maldita Vecindad will return to the Acura Grand Prix to perform a free concert for the race fans at this year&#8217;s opening day of racing on April 17.<\/p>\n<p>The band also performed at the 2010 Grand Prix and returns for an encore this year in a concert that will begin shortly after the day&#8217;s racing events at approximately 6:45 p.m. on the concert stage in the Terrace Theater Plaza.<\/p>\n<p>Maldita Vecindad was formed in 1985, blending rock and traditional Mexican music with a high-energy ska sound. Their second album, 1991&#8217;s &#8220;El Circo,&#8221; sold a record one million copies in Mexico alone. Since then, the group has released a string of top-selling albums and in 2018, they ended a three-year tour celebrating the band&#8217;s 30th anniversary.<\/p>\n<p><em>The concert is free to all Friday ticket holders. Prices range from $34 for a Friday-only general admission ticket, to $155 for a three-day ticket that includes Saturday and Sunday reserved seating.
