With so many entities and events now closed or canceled, from restaurants to art walks, retail spaces to museums, artists and galleries have lost the opportunity to show their work to the public, at least in person.<\/p>\n

Enter this “virtual marketplace” where, if you have the means right now, you can find and purchase the work of these creatives through their individual websites or the galleries that represent them. Some are offering deals in the form of giveaways or sales and all would appreciate your patronage, even if that means simply leaving a comment, liking or sharing a post.<\/p>\n

Let’s the keep the arts thriving in Long Beach.<\/p>\n

Jennifer Celio<\/h5>\n

Interdisciplinary artist Jennifer Celio is making small, original mixed media paintings for $100 each. Jordan Christian<\/h5>\n

Dave Clark<\/h5>\n

Clark’s playful pieces stem from the tables and other constructions he started creating about four decades ago. One of the founders of recently launched art collective, Art Clout, Clark’s works combine various materials in surprising ways, are colorful and well, are not to be sat on or used as furniture (usually). The Dark Art Emporium<\/h5>\n

You can stop by the Dark Art Emporium’s online gallery space, where pieces from their first show in their new space (before closing it to groups) “Devotion Bound” by Tokyo-based artist Meimaro, are for sale alongside their regular inventory, including prints, oddities and DAE merch. Kennedy Grace Gallery<\/h5>\n

With all events on hold, it’s become difficult to represent local artists through the gallery’s rotating shows at local businesses, so about a week ago the gallery started a “Meet the Artist” series on Instagram @kennedy_grace_gallery<\/a>. MADE by Millworks<\/h5>\n

The boutique, bar (Elinor) and gallery is constantly working with local artists and makers, but without being able to host exhibitions, open mics, performances and other events, it’s been a bit of a struggle.
