Pier 76 and The Harbor owner and chef Chris Karjecic has quite the night ahead of him: He will be filleting and packaging some 1,000 pounds of fish and giving it away to people in need, Saturday, March 21.<\/p>\n

Partnering with Ingardia Brother Produce, the massive delivery of wild Opah, Tuna, and Ono will be distributed at Krajacic’s Downtown Long Beach Pier 76 location from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fish will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis.<\/p>\n

“We’d like to continue to support our Long Beach community by donating to those that are in times of need\u2014and that means feeding our community,” Krajacic said.<\/p>\n

Additionally, Krajacic and crew will be taking a cue from other local restaurants and converting the fish grill into a popup market, offering everything from lettuce and tomatoes to kale and broccoli.<\/p>\n

“Depending on how tonight and tomorrow go, we might just get another shipment to give away,” Krajacic said.<\/p>\n

Pier 76 is located at 95 Pine Ave.<\/em><\/p>\n
