1. MAKING FACE MASK FACES<\/h3>\n

Kate Karp |<\/strong> I do face mask gurning\u2014 British term for funny faces\u2014when I\u2019m in public. I twist my mouth and nose and grimace hideously while my eyes casually browse the cans of soup in the market.<\/p>\n

Best workout ever for your facial muscles and cheaper than Botox. It\u2019s kind of like dancing around in an elevator while it\u2019s moving between floors and stopping just when the car does, although this has become awkward with security cameras everywhere.<\/p>\n

2. WEIRD FOOD COMBOS<\/h3>\n

Brian Addison<\/strong> |<\/strong>\u00a0In the world of food, there are strange things we do. I, for some reason, prefer my orange juice\u2014mainly just orange juice\u2014watered down. Sometimes I add mineral water, but there’s little better than when ice has been sitting in it long enough to chill it but dilute it. I like orange-flavored water more than orange juice itself.<\/p>\n

I thought this was weird but oh, how normal it suddenly appeared after I asked some folks in my Long Beach Food Scene group to give me their odd food combinations that have become more regular thanks to sheltering. Some 738 comments later, we now have an archive of human flavor combinations that psychiatrists and chefs alike will love examining in the future: Peanut butter and fresh jalape\u00f1o sandwiches. Peanut butter and mayo sandwiches. Peanut butter and butter sandwiches. Peanut butter with hot sauce. Peanut butter with dry salami. Just lots of damn peanut butter.<\/p>\n

Crumbling cornbread into a glass of milk and downing it.<\/p>\n

Amy’s frozen Mac and Cheese “cooked on high in the microwave til the edges are hard, crispy and almost burnt. Remove. Add more shredded cheese and stir.”<\/p>\n

Mustard on pasta and marinara. Grilled cheeses dipped into hot chocolate. Tuna in… oatmeal. That’s a thing.<\/p>\n
