and support kids fighting childhood cancers. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/be1BoCgNJF\">pic.twitter.com\/be1BoCgNJF<\/a><\/p>\n<p> \u2014 Long Beach Fire (@lbfd) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/lbfd\/status\/842925304771362816\">March 18, 2017<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> <script charset=\"utf-8\" type=\"text\/javascript\" src=\"\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" async=\"\"><\/script> <\/center> <\/p>\n<p>Over the past few months, Long Beach firefighters and the St. Baldrick\u2019s Foundation have teamed up to support children fighting childhood cancers, it was announced this week.<\/p>\n<p>Firefighters gathered to shave their heads at two different culminating events at Millikan High School and the Long Beach Fire Regional Training Center on St. Patrick\u2019s Day in support of the cause, according to the Long Beach Fire Department (LBFD).<\/p>\n<p>The LBFD was led by team captain Jim Fraser, who shaved his head for the fourth year in a row to raise funds to find a cure for childhood cancer.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI wasn\u2019t going to shave, but then a friend of mine posted on Facebook that her son, Austin Angel, was sick and needed help,\u201d Fraser said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>Raising more than $3,000, Fraser was the top donating participant for the \u201cLong Beach Shaves for Kids\u201d event, while Long Beach Firefighters Local 372 &amp;
