\"susanegan\"Musical Theatre West\u2019s last performance of its \u201cBroadway in Concert Series\u201d presents The Real Housewife on Broadway<\/em>, starring Susan Egan, Broadway\u2019s original Tony-nominated Belle in Disney\u2019s Beauty and the Beast<\/em>, on Friday, March 17 at the Beverly O\u2019Neill Theater at the Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center.<\/p>\n

“I just love coming home to sing for Long Beach audiences – it always feels like a bunch of good friends coming together,\u201d said Egan. \u201cMy cabaret is very intimate and conversational, which is a nice contrast to the large orchestral concerts I do with the Long Beach Symphony! Here I get to share personal stories and bring a different set of Broadway tunes.\u201d<\/p>\n

Egan has received Tony Award and Drama Desk nominations for \u201cBest Actress\u201d for her role in the 1991 animated film, Beauty and the Beast<\/em>. Egan was also the voice of Meg in Disney\u2019s Hercules<\/em>, Angel in\u00a0Lady and the Tramp II,\u00a0<\/em>Lin in Hiyao Miyazaki’s\u00a0Spirited Away<\/em> and\u00a0Gina in Porco Rosso.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

On Broadway, Egan has starred in Thoroughly Modern Minnie<\/em>, Cabaret, Triumph of Love and State Fair<\/em>. She is currently the voice of Rose Quartz in Cartoon Network\u2019s Steven Universe<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The one-night-only performance will also feature special guest Deedee Lynn Magno Hall, who costars with Egan in Steven Universe<\/em>, as the character Pearl. Hall also sang in The Party, a pop band that released its self-titled debut album 1990 on Hollywood Records.<\/p>\n

On Broadway, Hall has starred as Kim in Miss Saigon<\/em> and Nessarose in Wicked<\/em>. She also played Jasmine on Disney\u2019s Aladdin: A Music Spectacular<\/em> soundtrack.<\/p>\n

The show is accompanied by Musical Director Stephen Cook along with composers Gershwin, Porter, Arlen, Rodgers and Hammerstein, Kander and Ebb, Alan Menken as well as Stephen Schwartz.<\/p>\n

\u201cI’m especially excited for this particular evening, because the film of Beauty and the Beast<\/em> opens the very same night, so it’s a wonderful opportunity to revisit the show that changed my life,\u201d said Egan.<\/p>\n
