The rest of you\u2014get out early Saturday and Sunday morning\u2014rain or shine, say the organizers\u2014and riffle through the piles of good stuff that will be for sale (see Mark Your Calendar for the details). The best part of it all is that every cent of the proceeds will help fund two rescue organizations staffed by tireless volunteers, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/LiveLovePets\/?fref=ts\">Live Love Pet Care and Rescue<\/a>\u00a0and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/thelittlelionfoundation\/?fref=ts\">The Little Lion Foundation<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Passionate hearts and willing bodies save a lot of pets, but they won\u2019t pay the bills. Rescue organizations are in perpetual need of food, vaccinations and medical bills to heal sick animals. You know you love a yard sale (if you\u2019ve read this far), so come along and help the pets. Here are a few Little Lions up for adoption, all pulled from <a href=\"http:\/\/longbeach.gov\/acs\">Long Beach Animal Care Services<\/a>. They won\u2019t be on the sales table, but they\u2019d definitely welcome a visit and a forever home.<\/p>\n<p><i>Photos courtesy of The Little Lion Foundation<\/i><\/p>\n<p><strong><i><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-52983\" src=\"https:\/\/lbpost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/Delilah.jpg\" alt=\"Delilah\" width=\"640\" \/><\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Delilah<\/strong> is a 4-month-old little girl. She was supposed to be part of a shelter\/neuter\/release (SNR) effort, but she had a wound in her neck that needed to be tended to. She is all healed up, spayed, vaccinated and tested, and is ready to go!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-52984\" src=\"https:\/\/lbpost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/Romeo.jpg\" alt=\"Romeo\" width=\"640\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Romeo<\/strong> has quirky-looking ears because he\u2019s an American curl mix. American curls are a breed of cat whose ears curl back from the face. The poor guy was surrendered to the shelter because he was being attacked by the new cats in the house, and he was always hiding under the bed. He is super-sweet and deserves a certain someone to hang out with and scratch behind those silly ears. He\u2019s 4 years old and will be a lovely cat.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-52982\" src=\"https:\/\/lbpost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/Gretel.jpg\" alt=\"Gretel\" width=\"640\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Gretel<\/strong> is a year old. She had been at the shelter since November and had no luck. She suffered from severe URI, hair loss from the stress of being cooped up in a shelter kennel, and\u2014most horribly\u2014her tail had been cut in half somehow. So she has a short tail, but she\u2019s long on love and beauty.
