After a roughly 3-month closure due to coronavirus<\/a>, the Aquarium of the Pacific will reopen this weekend, with member previews on Friday and Saturday before opening to the public on Sunday at 9 a.m.<\/p>\n

To address safety concerns during the coronavirus pandemic, the Aquarium is limiting the number of visitors and will require advance timed reservations that you can make on its website<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Additionally, visitors over age 2 are required to wear face coverings, and staff will give temperature checks to everyone. Group sizes are limited to 6 people. Additional safety protocols, as well as the temporary closures of some aquarium attractions, can be found here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The aquarium’s reopening will include the debut of a new exhibition, “Coral Reefs: Nature’s Underwater Cities,” which features new animals and exhibits where visitors can learn more about the importance of coral reefs and how to protect them.<\/p>\n

A green sea turtle, flashlight fish that glow and clownfish are among the more than a dozen new animal species that are highlighted.<\/p>\n

Member preview days are from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday. The public hours on Sunday are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.<\/p>\n

General admission is $34.95 for people 12 and over; $29.95 for seniors 65 and over; $24.95 for children; and free for children under age 3 and Aquarium members.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
