The artwork will be unveiled in mid-October, according to the release.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-50809\" src=\"https:\/\/lbpost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/lynnazali.jpg\" alt=\"lynnazali\" width=\"640\" height=\"274\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>Rendering of Lynn Azali\u2019s <\/em>Wild Parrots of Long Beach<em>, which celebrates the non-native birds living in Long Beach.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis process has allowed us to feature talented local artists whose work celebrates the urban life of downtown Long Beach,\u201d said Michael Bohn, senior principal at Studio One Eleven, in a statement. \u201cAll of the entries showcased the artistic talent of Long Beach, but ultimately we selected the artists that would best reflect our passion for street art and urban revitalization. The artists will also complement a raw open industrial work environment.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Artists were encouraged to incorporate the theme \u201cCelebrating Urban Life\u201d in their submissions while expressing their artistic freedom. You can also view the artist\u2019s work nearby on the alley-facing wall of Berlin Bistro off of Fourth Street.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-50811\" src=\"https:\/\/lbpost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/bumblebee.jpg\" alt=\"bumblebee\" width=\"640\" height=\"191\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>Rendering of the two murals to be created by Bumblebeelovesyou.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Both murals\u2014one to depict a bicycle signifying Long Beach\u2019s cycling culture and the other to feature a girl taking a photo, representing Studio One Eleven\u2019s and P+R Architect\u2019s work examining and developing urban environments\u2014were commissioned by the two firms.
