Celebrating the 4th of July in Long Beach is always a party, whether you’re in for a sit-down dinner for two with a view of the Queen Mary’s fireworks, or you’ve decided to traipse down to the beach for the debauchery and, well, more fireworks. If you’ve racked your brain already for things to do and can’t quite come up with a plan, we have you covered with the below five shindigs and more.<\/p>\n

Harbor Breeze Cruises Fireworks Cruise<\/strong><\/p>\n

Cruise the Long Beach Harbor under a fire-lit sky of 4th of July fireworks displays during Harbor Breeze Cruises annual family-friendly Independence Day celebration on the water. The Karin Lynn and La Espada will both leave Rainbow Harbor at 8:00PM. Tickets are $35 and free for children under three.<\/p>\n

A little reminder, tickets purchased online must be printed beforehand and brought to the dock in order to take part in this cruise. Tickets shown on a mobile device will not work.<\/p>\n

The Great American Kids\u2019 4th of July Bike Parade<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bust out the bikes, flags, tassels and patriotic garb for a different kind of cruise, this one up and down the beach bike path. Meet at 10:00AM in the Granada Beach parking lot to show off that young patriotic pride on two wheels.<\/p>\n

You can also start your 4th of July off with in an active way by participating in the 5K and Kids\u2019 half-mile run. Tickets can be purchased in advance using the link below.<\/p>\n

Fuego BBQ and Live Surf Music at Hotel Maya<\/strong><\/p>\n

Splurge on a barbecue bash where from 6:00PM to 9:00PM you can grub, catch the Queen Mary\u2019s fireworks display and relax or dance to the surf rock of the Beach Boys Tribute Band.<\/p>\n

\u201cFuego is one of the best locations in Long Beach to view the Queen Mary fireworks,\u201d said Kristi Allen, Vice President of Hotel Operations at Hotel Maya in a statement. \u201cWe invite families to spend the day at Hotel Maya and eat delicious barbecue, drink cool margaritas and enjoy the nighttime celebration.\u201d<\/p>\n

4th of July at The Sky Room<\/strong><\/p>\n

One of the best views in Long Beach is arguably at The Sky Room, where the second seating of this celebration dinner can be enjoyed as the 9:00PM fireworks show pops off. The menu is impressive, ranging from a choice of Blue Lump Crab Cake or Miso Duck Breast to the Filet Mignon only offered during the second seating.<\/p>\n

Dance Party at the Pier<\/strong><\/p>\n

Head on down to the Belmont Veterans Memorial Pier for an entire weekend of festivities, and a dance party on the 4th from 2:00PM to 10:00PM, also being dubbed the Love Long Beach Festival Official Pre-Party. Catch the fireworks from another one of the best viewpoints in the city and let loose with fellow pier and beach goers.<\/p>\n
