Virtually Pets<\/h1>\n

Because of the overabundance of\u00a0kittens born during kitten season<\/a>, The Scratching Post and Pet Projects have matched the cat glut with feline-themed articles and adoptions. And they\u2019ll keep coming until the birthing has died down. But it\u2019s time for a break, with a few great dogs that are up for adoption this Saturday at Pet Food Express in Long Beach (see Mark Your Calendars). If you get to Long Beach Animal Care Services at the shelter side of the Pitchford Companion Animal Village, 7700 East Spring Street, before Saturday, you can meet them there and maybe take one or two home. You won\u2019t be foiling any plans\u2014there are always more to bring along, sadly.<\/p>\n

Zoey<\/strong>, ID# A567903, came in with her bonded longtime male companion, Jazz<\/strong> ID#A567904. She\u2019s a robust senior that loves to play and romp. Both have the classic cocker lines and are healthy and active. These two form an instant family of pets that enjoy human companionship, demonstrating it with great manners and obedience. Confident, good looking and smart Jazz and Zoey are at the Long Beach Animal Care Services. Please come along and visit them!<\/p>\n

Sweet Kat<\/strong>\u2014short for catfish because she has the cutest whiskers\u2014seems to be looking for something special, and it may be you. Kat loves to roll on her back in the cool grass and relax next to you. She has some missing hair on her back but we think with good nutrition and some TLC, it will grow back.
