Mendocino Farms, the popular, upscale Los Angeles-born sandwich shop that has grown to 30-plus locations in California and Texas since opening in 2005, announced it would be opening its first Long Beach location next month, as a pick-up and delivery only service.<\/p>\n

Starting Friday, Nov. 13, locals will be able to order online, via the Mendo app, or through a third party delivery service to enjoy the chef-driven, gourmet-style sandwiches and other farm-to-table soup and salad offerings. As a special opening promotion, Mendocino Farms is offering a buy-one-get-one free sandwich or salad to the first 500 guests who sign up online<\/a> and select the new Long Beach kitchen as their favorite location.<\/p>\n

This opening is a bit of good news for local devotees of the shop since they have had to drive 30 minutes north to the company’s El Segundo location or south to Costa Mesa or Tustin to sample the seasonal offerings.<\/p>\n

The Long Beach kitchen will offer nearly identical menus and catering offerings as their other stores including fan favorites such as the “Not So Fried” chicken sandwich with krispies, herb aioli, mustard pickle slaw on Ciabatta bread as well as\u00a0 the “Farm Club” a loaded Turkey-twist on a classic BLT.<\/p>\n

Their new location will operate out of 1388 Daisy Ave., a commercial industrial kitchen space that offers businesses or pop-ups a place to operate for an alloted time without having to invest in the capital for a traditional brick-and-mortar, a concept known as a cloud kitchen.<\/p>\n
