Internationally-revered French artist Erwin Dazelle has been selected as the Official Artist for the April 15-17 Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach, the Grand Prix of Long beach announced Thursday.\u00a0Dazelle was also the Official Artist for the 2012 race, according to Grand Prix Director of Communication Chris Esslinger.<\/p>\n
The artist\u2019s work will be featured on official race posters, tickets, the Fan Guide, souvenir program and more, branding the race\u2019s 2016 \u201clook\u201d with Dazelle\u2019s vibrant aesthetic.<\/p>\n

Dazelle has painted professionally since 1996 and carries a hefty list of accomplishments under his belt, including the creation of artwork for Sunoco\u2019s Official Fuel of INDYCAR 2011 point-of-purchase campaign, the 10th anniversary commemorative program cover for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Ford Championship Weekend at Homestead Miami Speedway and various event posters for the Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance, according to the announcement.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am really excited and honored to have been selected again as official artist for the 2016 Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach,\u201d stated Dazelle. \u201cI was really inspired during my last trip to the Grand Prix. I have traveled to many races around the planet and it is my favorite racing event. The ambiance surrounding the Grand Prix is unique and the proximity of the cars, drivers, teams and fans is unmatched. I look forward to being there next April and meeting the fans.\u201d<\/p>\n
The artist has also been commissioned by Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Daytona International Speedway and the Sanfermin Encierro Museum in Pamplona, Spain. Dazelle has a gallery in Bayonne in the Southwest of France to show, in addition to his colorful paintings, his steel, stained glass, clay and plaster modeling work.<\/p>\n
