A schedule of the meetings will be released in the coming weeks.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>PREVIOUSLY:\u00a0LA County to Seek Community Input on Parks in Long Beach Meeting Thursday<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>12\/17\/15 at 11:01AM |<\/strong> Long Beach\u2019s Houghton Park Community Center will host one of Los Angeles County\u2019s Parks Needs Assessment community meetings tonight to help county decision-makers better understand the needs of residents across the county, according to a release issued Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Scheduled for 6:30PM this evening at Houghton Park Community Center, the meeting seeks Long Beach residents\u2019 input and feedback on what they feel should be priorities for parks within the district.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s absolutely critical that all residents across Los Angeles County have access to thriving, high quality parks. For the first time, this assessment will allow us to truly understand the park needs of every community within the county,\u201d said Rita Robinson, Park Needs Assessment Project Director for the County Department of Parks and Recreation in a statement. \u201cIt is so important for all LA County residents to attend these meetings and tell us what they believe the priorities for park and open space should be.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The results of the meeting, one of 200 to occur between now and February 2016 across the county, will be paired with data from parks in 88 cities throughout the county.
