The City of Long Beach has announced that registration for the more than 400 classes it is sponsoring for its winter session takes place next Monday, November 2.<\/p>\n

According to Jane Grobaty, the superintendent of Community Information, the new session includes new classes for those aged 50 plus, as well as youth\u2014notably, a week-long winter school break, art and engineering camps and a healthy cooking class.<\/p>\n

\u201cParks, Recreation and Marine (PRM) wants all residents to start the new year with new ways to stay active and healthy,\u201d said Grobaty in an email to the Post.<\/em> \u201cThere are dozens of dance, fitness and sports classes, as well as swimming and water exercise programs, and tennis classes to make achieving one\u2019s fitness goals attainable and fun.\u201d<\/p>\n

The classes begin in December 2015 and last through February 2016. Other offerings include events for the entire family, adult sports leagues and aquatics programs.<\/p>\n
