The University Art Museum (UAM) will host the series inside its newly renovated Permanent Collection Gallery, a truly grand location that showcases both performances and visual art outstandingly well.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">In <em>Shakespeare Aloud<\/em>, the Carpenter Center presents a free reading of each of Shakespeare\u2019s 37 plays, one per month until the canon is complete. Attendees can either read from the plays or listen. The complete list of plays and dates can be found on the center\u2019s website <a href=\"http:\/\/www.carpenterarts.org\/free\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">This change of venue comes after two years spent at CSULB Theatre Arts.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cWe\u2019ve had two great years with Theatre Arts,\u201d said Education Coordinator Amanda Meek in a statement. \u201cNow that the UAM\u2019s Permanent Collection Gallery has a new space, though, it seemed like the perfect place moving forward.&nbsp;The new gallery will be a perfect stage for Shakespeare, and being able to share our space and our collection with a new audience is an honor.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Attendees can also enjoy the museum\u2019s exhibitions following each reading, all of which are free.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cWe are really excited to be hosting [<em>Shakespeare Aloud<\/em>] in partnership with the Carpenter Center,\u201d UAM Interim Director Brian Trimble said in a statement. \u201cThe new gallery will be a perfect stage for Shakespeare, and being able to share our space and our collection with a new audience is an honor.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">In September, <em>Shakespeare Aloud<\/em> will enter its third season with its 21st event. <em>As You Like It<\/em> will be read, one of Shakespeare\u2019s most frequently performed comedies.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Doors open at 10:45AM and the reading begins at 11:00AM.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><em>Reservations are encouraged for this free event.
