Forever 21 Grand Opening\"\"<\/strong><\/a>
Long Beach, get your shop on as another major retail giant opens its doors this Saturday at 10:00AM at The Pike Outlets. Following H&M\u2019s grand opening in June, of which hundreds attended for the first-day deals and to celebrate the arrival of the latest (and affordable) trends, Forever 21 will offer $10 gift cards to the first 100 people in line and $5 off of purchases of $25 or more to the first 300 people.<\/p>\n

Healing Through Creativity Workshop<\/a><\/strong>
Local poet, artist and brain cancer survivor, Richard Harvey will debut his new book, 20 Poems 20 Paintings, A Creative Warrior\u2019s Journal and facilitate a workshop focused on healing and supporting cancer fighters, survivors and their support people. On Saturday from 2:00PM to 6:00PM, check out a small exhibition of visual and poetic art from the book, explore your artistic tendencies during three different breakout sessions, collaborate on a mural and join in on the dancing if you\u2019re so inclined.<\/p>\n

Long Beach Triathlon<\/strong>
Catch the dedicated runners, brave ocean swimmers and undauntable cyclists at they put their fitness to the test at the Long Beach Triathlon on Sunday. The event has a little something for everyone with an expo to be held on Saturday from 10:00AM to 4:00PM at Alfredo\u2019s at Alamitos Beach, while on Sunday starting at 7:00AM the athletes will take to the sea for a chilling first leg of the course. Watch the athletes as they hit the pavement on Shoreline Drive, through Alamitos Beach and past the Queen Mary.<\/p>\n

\"\"Sand Sculpture Music & Art Festival<\/strong>
Bring the entire family to the 83rd Annual Great Sand Sculpture Contest located on the sand (duh!) where Granada Avenue meets the beach. On both Saturday and Sunday, not only will numerous professional sculptors show off their sand grain gravitas, but kids will be able to build their own imaginative houses by the sea in the supervised kidzone. Meander the myriad vendor and artist booths, food tents and craft areas and listen to the radical lineup of local bands; enter the community competition for a chance to win some major moola!<\/p>\n

Tamarindo\u2019s Margarita Bar & Cantina + Live Music<\/strong>
For those that live near the airport and are looking to have a swanky good time tonight, check out the live Jazz music on Friday at Tamarindo\u2019s, a Tex-Mex sports bar at the Airport Marriott. Kick back, cocktail (and hookah) in-hand, at the poolside lounge as the sun sets and the airplanes land. Every third Saturday of the month enjoy Unplugged Blues & Soul Band from 8:00PM to midnight and every fourth Friday get down at the SoCal Reggae Party, also until midnight.<\/p>\n
