{"id":2543,"date":"2015-06-25T17:42:19","date_gmt":"2015-06-25T17:42:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/lbpost.com\/articles\/life\/food\/dine-lbc-formerly-known-as-eat-lbc-announces-participating-restaurants-dates-2\/"},"modified":"2015-06-25T17:42:19","modified_gmt":"2015-06-25T17:42:19","slug":"dine-lbc-formerly-known-as-eat-lbc-announces-participating-restaurants-dates-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lbpost.com\/esd\/hi-lo\/food\/dine-lbc-formerly-known-as-eat-lbc-announces-participating-restaurants-dates-2","title":{"rendered":"Dine LBC (Formerly Eat LBC) Announces 2016 Participating Long Beach Restaurants, Dates"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-40477\" src=\"https:\/\/lbpost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/dinelbc.png\" alt=\"dinelbc\" width=\"640\" height=\"237\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Dine LBC, formerly and fondly known as Eat LBC, the city\u2019s version of dine L.A.\u2019s Restaurant Week, announced earlier this week that Long Beach chefs have already begun to sign up in preparation for the April 23-to-May 1 event.<\/p>\n<p>The 2016 participating restaurants will include Restauration, The Federal Bar, Buono\u2019s Authentic Pizzeria, The Sky Room, Berlin Bistro and Fuego among others.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" alignleft size-full wp-image-35790\" style=\"float: left;\" src=\"https:\/\/lbpost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/DSC_0135_900x602.jpg\" alt=\"DSC 0135 900x602\" width=\"300\" height=\"201\" \/>During this locally prized fest-for-foodies, restaurants will offer value-oriented, three-course meals set at one of four price points: $20, $30, $40 or $50 per guest, in an effort to attract new customers and give those who view dining out as a rare luxury more opportunities to try out Long Beach\u2019s best culinary experiences.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere are numerous restaurants to choose from, including critically acclaimed Zagat and Gayot-rated establishments, as well as local Mom &amp; Pop eateries,&#8221; event organizer Terri Henry said in a press statement.&nbsp;\u201cThe 2016 Dine LBC will incorporate two full weekends that will allow more opportunity for locals to visit multiple participating restaurants during the 9-day event. It also allows those in neighboring cities who find it difficult to travel to Long Beach during the week with more options.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The event will span across 12 Long Beach neighborhoods from Belmont Shore to downtown Long Beach and from Belmont Heights to Naples Island.<\/p>\n<p>During last year\u2019s event, the second time Eat LBC was held, over 50 restaurants participated, of which more than 85 percent reported inviting new guests into their establishments. Of the guests who were surveyed, more than 50 percent dined at two or more locations during the week.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" alignright size-full wp-image-35784\" style=\"float: right;\" src=\"https:\/\/lbpost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/DSC_0147_900x602.jpg\" alt=\"DSC 0147 900x602\" width=\"300\" height=\"201\" \/>General Manager of Simmzy\u2019s Pub Jessica Kouzoukas said the restaurant\u2019s participation over the past two years has increased sales and the number of guests normally seen.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLong Beach Restaurant Week has been a success for Simmzy\u2019s and has been a great addition to the culinary community,\u201d she said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>Nicole Lira, general manager of L\u2019Opera, is proud to shed more light on the city\u2019s culinary scene.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter taking a back seat to L.A and Orange County for so many years, Long Beach finally has its own restaurant week that encourages the public to enjoy restaurants they normally wouldn\u2019t have a chance to try, or revisit an old favorite,&#8221;
