Here\u2019s how you can celebrate LA Beer Week, Long Beach-style from uptown to downtown and as far away as the oft-forgotten East.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Factory Gastrobar<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Without a doubt, this lager-loving Uptown locale always has something brew-related going on. Every day of LA Beer Week, guests can get a $5 draft if they wear their Factory IPA or Factory Oktoberfest T-shirt. On Monday, June 22 any guest wearing an LA County brewery or Factory shirt can purchase a draft for $5.<\/p>\n<p>On Wednesday, June 24, the gastrobar will host \u201cNeighBREWhood LBC\u201d where residents and professional brewers Chris Walowski of Smog City Brewing and Jerrod Larsen of Tustin Brewing will bring some of their faves for guests to taste. Those that stick around can talk beer, life, politics, religion, war, literature and any other topics that certainly will come up after a few drinks have been downed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNIGHT OF 1000 IBUs\u201d on Thursday, June 25 is an annual hop-takeover. New hoppy brews La Quinta, King Harbor, Congregation, New Belgium, Noble and Three Weavers will make their Factory debut.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo we don\u2019t have a hefe or a pilsner\u2014only giant hoppy beer that will wreck your palate and make you talk funny!\u201d said&nbsp;Owner and Chef Natalie Gutenkauf.<\/p>\n<p>Last, but not least, LADIES DAY on Saturday, June 27 will feature a keg of Unite Pale Ale that was brewed to celebrate International Women\u2019s Day. All events begin at 6:00PM; no tickets or reservations, first come, first served.<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday, June 23 Beachwood will surrender 15 taps to Cascade Brewing to serve some of the finest sour beers in the world, including several of the \u201cLive\u201d series, as well as several that have never been served outside the brewery\u2019s tasting room in Portland, OR.<\/p>\n<p>Cellarmaker and Friends will present eight Cellarmaker beers on Wednesday, plus offerings from seven of their friends The Rare Barrel, Sante Adairius, Marin Brewing, Berryessa Brewing Social Kitchen &amp; Brewery, Monkey Paw &amp; Societe Brewing.<\/p>\n<p>On Thursday, Societe Night will feature 10 beers on tap from the San Diego-based Societe Brewing Company.<\/p>\n<p>For more information, don\u2019t hesitate to call Beachwood at 562.436.4020.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-40179\" src=\"https:\/\/lbpost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/labeerweek2.png\" alt=\"labeerweek2\" width=\"640\" height=\"279\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Public Beer Wine Shop<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On Saturday, June 20th the brew-friendly hole-in-the-wall in downtown Long Beach will host their What the Funk Ever sour beer event. Purse your lips and get ready for a sour celebration with six different sour beers on draft. The downtown Los Angeles-based Zagat-rated top 10 Chinese restaurant Peking Tavern will provide their popular pork and sichuan dumplings starting at 7:00PM, while DJ CORNEJO will funk up the joint with an RnB, Funk and Soul playlist. Several local photographers will be showcasing their portraits of Long Beach residents, shots that were captured all over the city.
