This free music festival of over 40 musical acts at multiple venues located in the Zaferia District of Long Beach is back for 2021. Happy Sundays<\/a> will be held on Sunday, August 29th, starting at noon and will last throughout the afternoon and into the evening. Venues participating this year are DiPiazza’s<\/a>, The Bamboo Club<\/a>, Tennessee Jack\u2019s<\/a>, Supply & Demand<\/a>, Alex’s Bar<\/a>, Commodity<\/a> \/ All Time Plants<\/a>, and Compound<\/a>. New to the 2021 event is a Community Marketplace at Ore\u2019 Originals<\/a> where nonprofit organizations and creatives will have tabletops. Also joining this year is Calling All Crows<\/a>, an organization which inspires music fans to respond to issues affecting women by raising awareness, taking action, and collectively working for social change.<\/p>\n

To help folks enjoy as much live music as they can squeeze into the day, the Big Red Bus<\/a> will be available to take attendees from venue to venue 2 – 7 pm (thanks to the support of Councilmembers Suzie Price, Daryl Supernaw, and Assemblymember Patrick O\u2019Donnell). Most venues allow for under 21 years of age. Required Covid protocols will be in place.<\/p>\n

The Zaferia Business Association<\/a> has supported this free and open to the public event since 2018 as a way to support and promote the all-important entertainment, restaurant and bar businesses in the district, draw attention to the general business area that serves the residents of Long Beach, and to give back to the community.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
