Building on past decades-themed July 4 celebrations<\/a>, The Queen Mary has set its 2015 party to the theme of \u201cCelebrating 100 years of American spirit and tradition,\u201d including exhibitions themed to different decades of the 20th Century topped off by evening fireworks, The Queen Mary announced today.<\/p>\n

According to a release issued Monday morning, the ship will host events similar to those of years past, including a turn-of-the-century traveling circus, carnival games, a \u201cflapper\u201d-themed 1920s Gatsby Garden with dancers, a prohibition-style speakeasy with cabaret dancers and a salute to WWII music\u2014to name the first five decade themes.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re outdoing ourselves with a Fourth of July Jubilee like no other,\u201d said The Queen Mary\u2019s Director of Entertainment Events Steve Sheldon in a statement. \u201cThe Queen Mary is the only place in Southern California to truly celebrate one hundred years of Americana showcasing the best fireworks show in town. A legendary floating party through 10 decades, the merriest revue of the Century!\u201d<\/p>\n

Commemorating the second half of the 20th Century, The Queen Mary\u2019s 2015 All-American July 4th Celebration will feature a Nifty Fifty Drive-In Diner with authentic \u201850s jukebox hits, a Motor City Magic tribute to Motown hits, a 1970s-themed performance by the Disco Kings, an \u201880s arcade, \u201890s laser tag rave and Country music tailgate.<\/p>\n
