Kids and vintage auto enthusiasts of all ages will want to venture to the family-friendly Long Beach Touch-A-Truck event<\/a><\/strong> in Belmont Shore on Saturday, from 9:30AM to 12:30PM. The Granada Parking Lot will play host to dozens of vehicles and at least 2,500 people. The star of the day? A double-decker British bus dating from the 1930s.<\/p>\n

Or maybe you\u2019re looking for a free outdoor sailing race? The Congressional Cup<\/a><\/strong> will be heading into its final races this Saturday and Sunday at 11:30AM. Fuel your adrenaline with the regatta racing magic and enjoy the skill displayed by experienced skippers at the Belmont Veterans Memorial Pier. Go ahead and have a classy beverage while you\u2019re at it. The East Coast ain\u2019t got nothing on Long Beach\u2019s sailing spectator prowess.<\/p>\n

Head to the Long Beach Port for T<\/a>he Black Bird Renegade Tour<\/a>: Queen’s Wharf<\/a><\/strong> <\/em>at Pier 55 on Saturday from noon to 2AM Sunday. The jam sesh features dozens of artists performing against the commercial port backdrop. Participants\u2014required to be 21-plus\u2014must sign a waiver beforehand. Price is $15 with an RSVP before 3PM, and $20 after.<\/p>\n

If keen on broadening one\u2019s life perspective, check out Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo<\/a><\/em> <\/strong>at the Long Beach Playhouse on Saturday at 8PM and Sunday at 2PM. Playing continuously through May 30, the play follows the ghost of a quick-witted tiger, once held captive at the zoo, who narrates the trials and tribulations of two American marines and a troubled Iraqi gardener as they traipse through the streets of war-torn Baghdad. It was praised by the LA Times and offers a glimpse of the Iraq war with plenty of dark humor.\"\"<\/p>\n

Perhaps a bike ride with the kids beats everything else. On Sunday, Bixby Knolls\u2019 monthly Kidical Mass<\/a> <\/strong>bike ride celebrates its third anniversary. The approximately 4.5 mile ride starts at 1PM at Georgie\u2019s Place. Complimentary ice cream is provided to all participants as a just reward.<\/p>\n
