A storm blew into Long Beach and Los Angeles County Monday afternoon, knocking out power in some parts of the city,\u00a0closing beaches<\/a> and even starting a tree fire in East Long Beach that was quickly extinguished<\/p>\n

Despite all this, it\u2019s safe to say most of Long Beach was in awe Monday evening with the lightning and thunder that lasted into the night. (We\u2019re aware that we Southern Californians are not hard to entertain when it comes to weather.)<\/p>\n

Capturing that perfect lightning shot is tough, so we wanted to highlight our readers\u2019 coolest shots.<\/p>\n
