We wound our way through the neighborhood, passing various haunted spots steeped in urban legend and folklore, before blundering into a house on Country Club that looked truly haunted: Big trees with branches that looked like flailing arms, an unpainted house with window shades closed giving it a long-abandoned look, a hearse parked out front with a casket in the back\u2014those sorts of things.<\/p>\n<p>A glance at the two-story house, standing alone in a dirt lot, disheveled and strangely barricaded against sunlight and any other hint of joyful nature, is enough to tell you it\u2019s a haunted house.<\/p>\n<p>Turns out the owners of the home\u2014Schuyler and Lisa MacPherson\u2014are perhaps the only homeowners in Los Cerritos who aren\u2019t afraid of the house. In fact, they revel in its hauntedness, even while steadfastly denying that it is.<\/p>\n<p>Other people may feel differently and stay clear of the house on Country Club Drive, especially on Halloween.
