The Long Beach Museum of Art\u2019s lecture series, Feminism Ideals<\/em>, will continue this month with a panel discussion featuring the recipients of this year\u2019s Professional Artists Fellowships, the Arts Council for Long Beach\u2019s first class composed entirely of women<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Arts Council Executive Director Victoria Bryan will moderate the discussion between the five local artists, Olga Lah, Pamela Johnson, Carole Frances Lung, Sunny Nash and Yulya Dukhovny, who will be speaking about Long Beach, Feminism Ideals<\/em> and their practice.<\/p>\n

Feminism Ideals<\/em> is a series of conversations hosted by the Museum about the place of women artists in the art world and institutions such as galleries and museums. January\u2019s discussion featured Karen Kleinfelder, Director, School of the Arts, California State University Long Beach who highlighted significant moments for women in art history. In February, Marie Thibeault, renowned artist and CSULB professor, lectured about Feminism Ideals<\/em> from a working artist\u2019s perspective.<\/p>\n

This event is free and open to the public; however, seating is limited. Feminism Ideals will be located in the Lane Oceanview Gallery on Thursday, March 26 from 6:30PM to 7:30PM.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
